Account Director—Strategic Marketing Services

Polaris Direct is currently seeking an Account Director to join our Strategic Marketing Services team. The Strategic Marketing Services Account Director serves as a team lead and expert on the campaign development process for services offered by the Polaris SMS team, a full-service direct marketing agency, offering creative / design services and multi-channel marketing solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Help to secure new business from current and prospective customers, creating new revenue streams where appropriate.
  • Develop marketing and creative campaigns based on client’s objectives and goals.
  • Develop strategies by examining client objectives, planning, scheduling and completing design and production requirements.
  • Create and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns from creative strategy through production and analysis.
  • Determine project content by reviewing and approving art and copy materials developed by the SMS team.
  • Meet work standards by following production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards; resolving problems; identifying work process improvements.
  • Improve marketing results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing campaign processes; suggest changes.
  • Manage the SMS team and facilitate marketing campaigns by interfacing with clients, answering questions and responding to requests.
  • Look to increase revenue and create profitable business accounts within the SMS group.
  • Follow latest industry standards for data integrity and security (HIPAA/HITRUST).
  • Communicate job flow with internal departments.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience of 5 plus years in marketing, print or agency services

Account Manager—Direct Mail

Polaris Direct is currently seeking an Account Manager to join our fast-paced team. This position combines the arts of customer service and project management as you work on multiple projects from start to finish. Our Account Managers expertly manage the specific needs of their clients, avoiding preventable issues, problem solving and navigating through potential barriers with efficiency and ease. As the liaison between customers, partner vendors, and internal departments, the account manager facilitates timely, high-quality output of work in the field of direct marketing and printing services, as well as 1:1 marketing campaign management. Each project increases your knowledge of your client needs and enables you to anticipate future projects as they trust your expertise. This position allows you to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. You will be provided with the tools necessary to succeed.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Serve as point of contact for clients, both internal and external; resulting in client satisfaction and retention using responsiveness and ease of process.
  • Serve as project manager for production efforts and guide direct mail campaigns from beginning to completion in an organized and detail-oriented manner, with the end result being a finished product to match the client’s request.
  • Follow established SOP’s and QA procedures utilizing established checklists and other company processes, activities and systems.
  • Ensure all client requirements are understood and translated effectively to all necessary departments.
  • Review client’s mailing expectations and provided source documents to write detailed data processing instructions, including specifications, personalization and lettershop instructions.
  • Manage project schedules and ensure that deadlines will be met.
  • Manage artwork, work orders, proofs, change orders and obtain approvals. Keep all internal and external contacts updated throughout the process.
  • Serve as liaison with management, internal departments, and vendors/suppliers to troubleshoot problems and provide innovative solutions.
  • Coordinate with accounting department to ensure accurate billing; cost documentation, invoicing, and postage reconciliation for final billing.
  • Cross-train on other clients for team members on leave of absence or vacation.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • 2-4 year college degree or equivalent industry experience
  • Specialized knowledge of direct mail lettershop procedures
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills
  • Aptitude for learning new software systems
  • Knowledge of US Postal regulations
  • Ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines

Account Manager—Strategic Marketing Services

Polaris Direct is currently seeking an Account Manager to join our Strategic Marketing Services team to support a core group of clients across all aspects of the business, including strategic planning, social media content, web development, digital, creative services, brand building and print production.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Project manage all aspects of single- and multi-channel marketing campaigns from conception through execution and analysis
  • Provide timely and thorough responses to client inquiries and requests
  • Grow and maintain strong partnerships / relationships with internal Polaris team to assure the effective day-to-day servicing of clients
  • Represent and advocate on behalf of clients, serving as liaison
  • Ensure the schedule, cost and quality of each program align with client expectations
  • Provide reports and communication on progress of all key performance indicators
  • Report directly to the Account Director on day-to-day activities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a Business, Marketing or Communications field
  • 2-4 years of business experience in client-facing role, preferably in a commercial print or marketing agency environment
  • Possess a working understanding of the processes associated with developing and producing marketing materials
  • Some experience with creative services, direct mail, print production, lettershop or digital marketing is required
  • Energetic, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize multiple projects and work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong project management, analytical and problem-solving skills

HR Admin / Billing Clerk (Part-Time)

Polaris Direct is currently seeking a part-time candidate to help support our Human Resources Manager with basic Administrative functions and our Accounts Receivable Coordinator with billing functions. Successful candidates will be detail-oriented, able to multi-task and maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Audit timecard punches in HRIS system, confirming adjustments needed with supervisors/employees
  • Assist with filing HR paperwork, onboarding and scheduling, as needed
  • Cover breaks and lunches for receptionist
  • Perform monthly OIG/SAM screening
  • Assist with HR projects, as needed
  • Take ownership of the invoicing process for select group of customers
  • Prepare and process customer invoices in ERP system and through  customer portals
  • Review line items on customer invoices to ensure accuracy
  • Communicate questions and edits on customer invoices with account managers
  • Assist with AR reporting, as needed

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years basic experience working in a Human Resources role
  • Associate Degree and experience in Accounts Receivable role or an equivalent combination of education and experience to sufficiently perform the essential functions of the job
  • Detail-oriented and able to maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality

Intern—Strategic Marketing Services

Polaris Direct is currently seeking a Strategic Marketing Services (SMS) Intern who will play an integral role on the team. Candidate will work on multiple internal and external projects. If you are detail-oriented and willing to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, then let’s talk.

As an intern, you will be responsible for supporting the creative team with various projects related to SEO, social media, print, digital marketing, as well as web and video content development. Computer skills are required in order to succeed. You will also support the marketing and sales team on B2B efforts. Knowledge of Salesforce.com, Mailchimp and excellent writing skills is a plus. If you are looking to gain hands-on experience and learn more about multi-channel marketing and print, then this is the right opportunity for you. This a paid internship that offers a flexible work schedule. You will come away from this experience with a well-rounded knowledge and hands-on experience in all aspects of marketing.

Requirements:

  • Responsible for setting up, maintaining, and repairing bindery equipment
  • Set up and monitor high-speed continuous form cutters and folders during operation and make necessary adjustments
  • Ability to read and follow work orders and instructions in written and oral form
  • Ability to maintain daily manufacturing machine quotas
  • Perform quality assurance checks during production run
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed
  • Shift differential for 2nd shift employees

Production: Inserter Operators / Sorters

Polaris Direct is currently seeking a Vice President of Business Development—Direct Marketing to join our team. Responsibilities include prospecting new clients and sales, as well as sales presentations and client meetings. Candidate should be a highly motivated, solutions-oriented sales professional with experience in the direct marketing industry and expertise in consultative selling. Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must.
