Account Manager—Direct Mail

Polaris Direct is currently seeking an Account Manager to join our fast-paced team. This position combines the arts of customer service and project management as you work on multiple projects from start to finish. Our Account Managers expertly manage the specific needs of their clients, avoiding preventable issues, problem solving and navigating through potential barriers with efficiency and ease. As the liaison between customers, partner vendors, and internal departments, the account manager facilitates timely, high-quality output of work in the field of direct marketing and printing services, as well as 1:1 marketing campaign management. Each project increases your knowledge of your client needs and enables you to anticipate future projects as they trust your expertise. This position allows you to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. You will be provided with the tools necessary to succeed.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Serve as point of contact for clients, both internal and external; resulting in client satisfaction and retention using responsiveness and ease of process.
  • Serve as project manager for production efforts and guide direct mail campaigns from beginning to completion in an organized and detail-oriented manner, with the end result being a finished product to match the client’s request.
  • Follow established SOP’s and QA procedures utilizing established checklists and other company processes, activities and systems.
  • Ensure all client requirements are understood and translated effectively to all necessary departments.
  • Review client’s mailing expectations and provided source documents to write detailed data processing instructions, including specifications, personalization and lettershop instructions.
  • Manage project schedules and ensure that deadlines will be met.
  • Manage artwork, work orders, proofs, change orders and obtain approvals. Keep all internal and external contacts updated throughout the process.
  • Serve as liaison with management, internal departments, and vendors/suppliers to troubleshoot problems and provide innovative solutions.
  • Coordinate with accounting department to ensure accurate billing; cost documentation, invoicing, and postage reconciliation for final billing.
  • Cross-train on other clients for team members on leave of absence or vacation.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • 2-4 year college degree or equivalent industry experience
  • Specialized knowledge of direct mail lettershop procedures
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills
  • Aptitude for learning new software systems
  • Knowledge of US Postal regulations
  • Ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Familiarity with pricing, proposals, billing, and postage reconciliations
  • Knowledge of cross channel media elements (i.e. Informed Delivery, Email Blasts, Facebook, etc.) is a plus
  • Ability to demonstrate math aptitude

Account Manager—Strategic Marketing Services

Polaris Direct is currently seeking an Account Manager to join our Strategic Marketing Services team to support a core group of clients across all aspects of the business, including strategic planning, social media content, web development, digital, creative services, brand building and print production.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Project manage all aspects of single and multi-channel marketing campaigns, from conception through execution and analysis.
  • Provide timely and thorough responses to client inquiries and requests.
  • Grow and maintain strong partnerships / relationships with internal Polaris team to assure the effective day-to-day servicing of clients.
  • Represent and advocate on behalf of clients, serving as liaison.
  • Ensure the schedule, cost and quality of each program aligns with client’s expectations.
  • Provide reports and communication on progress of all key performance indicators.
  • Report directly to the Account Director on day-to-day activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required preferably in a Business, Marketing or Communications field.
  • 2-4 years of business experience in client-facing role, preferably in a commercial print or marketing agency environment.
  • Possess a working understanding of the processes associated with developing and producing marketing materials.
  • Some experience with creative services, direct mail, print production, lettershop or digital marketing is required.
  • Energetic, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize multiple projects and work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong project management, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to manage multiple client demands and projects simultaneously.
  • Aptitude for learning new software systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Google Drive and Google Docs.
  • Experience in various marketing software platforms such as HubSpot, Marketo, Hootsuite, MailChimp, Boostability, and Trello.

Production: Bindery Setup / Operators

Polaris Direct is currently seeking Production personnel for our first and second shift teams.

  • Responsible for setting up, maintaining, and repairing bindery equipment
  • Set up and monitor high-speed continuous form cutters and folders during operation and make necessary adjustments
  • Ability to read and follow work orders and instructions in written and oral form
  • Ability to maintain daily manufacturing machine quotas
  • Perform quality assurance checks during production run
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed
  • Shift differential for 2nd shift employees
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or 3 to 6 months related experience

Production: Inserter Operators / Sorters

Polaris Direct is currently seeking Production personnel for our first and second shift teams.

  • Operation of high-speed FlowMaster and Pinnacle inserters
  • Ability to read and follow work orders and instructions in written and oral form
  • Ability to follow quality assurance procedures to produce error-free work
  • Ability to maintain daily job quotas
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed
  • Shift differential for 2nd shift employees
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or 3 to 6 months related experience

Production: Lettershop Set-Up Operators / Mechanics

Polaris Direct is currently seeking Production personnel for our first and second shift teams.

  • Responsible for setting up, maintaining, and repairing lettershop equipment
  • Set up and monitor high-speed inserters, inkjet printers, and various lettershop equipment during operation and make necessary adjustments
  • Ability to read and follow work orders and instructions in written and oral form
  • Ability to maintain daily manufacturing machine quotas
  • Perform preventative maintenance as scheduled
  • Must be mechanically inclined
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed
  • Shift differential for 2nd shift employees
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or 3 to 6 months related experience

Vice President of Business Development—Direct Marketing

Polaris Direct is currently seeking a Vice President of Business Development—Direct Marketing to join our team. Responsibilities include prospecting new clients and sales, as well as sales presentations and client meetings. Candidate should be a highly motivated, solutions-oriented sales professional with experience in the direct marketing industry and expertise in consultative selling. Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must.

Experience: Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years experience in direct marketing sales and business development. Knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, project management software and CRM.
