Polaris Direct Wins Silver Award in the Annual Gold Ink Awards Competition

HOOKSETT, N.H. (September 9, 2016)—Printing Impressions magazine, producer of the annual Gold Ink awards, announced that Polaris Direct has won a Silver Award for the entry titled “Personalized by Polaris” in the Digital Printing, Variable Data and Personalization category.

The piece was designed, printed, and mailed by Polaris Direct as part of a self-promotion effort to highlight the power of four-color variable data inkjet. It was produced on the Screen Truepress Jet520ZZ on Mondi paper.

“We are thrilled to win a 2016 Gold Ink Award for our four-color VDP print campaign,” said Judith Maloy, Director and CEO of Polaris. “The integrated promotion showcases the possibilities of complex and highly personalized inkjet capabilities in full color.”

According to Printing Impressions, nearly a thousand Gold Ink entries were received from around the world this year. Pieces were judged by graphic designers, production managers, and print buyers. Winners were chosen based on print quality, technical difficulty, and overall visual effect.

“Honors go to our strategic marketing and print production teams who did a superb job with the print quality and data-driven strategy to create an award-winning promotion,” Maloy said. “This award points to the depth of Polaris’ service offering and how we are able to successfully support our enterprise clients with full-service print and direct marketing.”

Earlier this year, the campaign also earned Polaris two Gold NEDMA Awards for Creative Excellence: one in the Integrated Media Campaign: Agency Self-Promotion category and one in the Technique category for Best Print Production.
